Chalet Bird House

This is an adorable, detailed and good-looking bird house! It's very cute! It is well made in its way, but the wood isn't very thick. I've given it a double protective clear coat which I hope will help it hold up to the elements.

Window placement is a bit skewed; otherwise, this birdhouse has a good construction. I gave the cedar roof a couple coats of clear acrylic, just to retain the color.

Chalet Bird House

Beautiful and looks just like the picture; however, there is no way to hang it, except for nailing it to a tree or post. I will glue cross pieces to the bottom so that I can hang it from four points for stability. If you nail it as designed, you can't open the back, so use a screw if you fasten it to a tree. A single center hook would be nice, but to add stability, a four point sling or outrigger would work best. Very nice piece for the money.
