Ivy Copper Top Bird House

Ordered two of these stunningly beautiful, mahogany, ivy birdhouses. Shipping was quick and houses were securely packed. They are very well made of thick mahogany and the copper top dome is the icing on the product. Opening for birds is just right for bluebirds and they seem to appreciate the beautiful ivy perch in front. Installation directions were clear and easy to understand. Metal plate to attach to 4x4 post (you must purchase the post separately- it is not included with purchase of birdhouse) is sturdy and all screws are provided to install easily and quickly. We had both installed and ready to go in about an hour (not counting installing 4x4 securely in ground. Would recommend installing in a shady area so birdhouse will not hold heat during hot days. Footnote: I had already purchased and installed two of these beautiful birdhouses on our property years ago and they are still as beautiful as the day installed. Since then we have had many bluebird families build and rear their families. In fact this year 2020 the bluebirds have already reared two sets of four in one house since mid April. The house opening is perfect for them as they zoom in and out building a nest, setting eggs, feeding fledglings and finally watching little ones stand in the opening and take their first flight! You cant go wrong with this beautiful bird house that is sturdier and much more stylish than any other birdhouse (IMO). In my yard these are the only houses we have gracing our property.

Ivy Copper Top Bird House

The bird house arrived in great condition with lots of packing cushion. It is exactly as pictured, big with a nice quality copper dome top. I did reinforce some wood parts with screws where they had been attached with big staples.
